About Jackie

I've built my career in two worlds that most people treat as separate: marketing and music. I think they belong together.

As a cellist, I perform orchestral, chamber, and period repertoire, and I've spent years inside rehearsal halls, backstage hallways, and concert seasons. I know the rhythms of a performing arts organization firsthand, including the parts audiences never see.

As a marketer, I've turned that insider knowledge into work that connects. At the Richmond Symphony, I managed the organization's social media across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, planning the content calendar, capturing and editing original content at concerts and events, and reporting on engagement to sharpen strategy. I wrote and edited communications for segmented audiences of subscribers and single-ticket buyers, coordinated cross-departmental campaigns in Monday.com and maintained concert listings and artist profiles on the Symphony's website.

Before the Symphony, I spent nearly six years at Circle Square Salon and Triangle Hair Studio in Richmond, where I grew from Front Desk Assistant into Salon Operations Manager. I led a 32-member team, managed the salon's social presence and a luxury haircare brand partnership, analyzed booking and guest data to inform pricing and promotions, and served on a small leadership team advising ownership. It was a masterclass in luxury client experience, operational discipline, and marketing that has to deliver results in the real world.

Education

I hold a B.S. in Marketing Communication and Analytics from Virginia Commonwealth University, where I graduated magna cum laude.

Before VCU, I completed two years of coursework in Music Business and Management at Berklee College of Music.

Why It Matters

Arts marketing works best when it's made by someone who understands both the audience and the art. I've sat in the section, I've stood in the lobby with patrons, and I've run the analytics that show what's actually landing. That perspective is what I bring to every project.

When I'm not working, you'll find me performing around New York, or in a practice room with my cello.
